A globe-trotting ensemble tale of greed, ambition, idealism, and deceit follows a whistle-blower in Australia, an ambitious but compromise Trinidadian soccer executive, a sleazy American huckster, a dogged journalist with nothing to lose, and a rising young soccer player whose life and dreams are thrown into tragedy and turmoil by the betrayal of his superiors.

Billions of dollars change hands. Elections and entire governments are reshaped. Bribery, larceny, embezzlement, and murder form the pillars behind this incredible, unbelievable true story.

Cast: Kenneth Branagh (Otto Frank)
Directed by: Reed Morano
Studio: Fox Searchlight Pictures
Produced by: Matti Leshem, Lynn Harris (Weimaraner Republic)

Otto Frank returns from Auschwitz to a shattered life and the wrenching loss of his wife and daughters. Among the meager possessions salvaged by devoted family friend Miep Gies is a small, cloth-bound, checkered book that contains the voice, the spirit, and the life of his daughter: Anne Frank.

Hers is a bright, optimistic perspective that the world, still grappling with the unthinkable atrocities committed by the Nazis and the staggering loss off life sustained during the War, sorely needs - but in attempting to secure publication of the Diary, Otto faces an immense struggle against suspicion, skepticism, and indifference around the world.

Junior editor Barbara Zimmerman, fresh out of the typing pool at Doubleday & Co. in New York, becomes his sole ally in a passionate crusade to ensure that the tender, inspiring, uplifting voice of Anne Frank is never lost or forgotten.

Fox Searchlight Pictures won the aggressive bidding war for Franco & Kilgore's script, Keeper of the Diary, in January, 2017. Lynn Harris and Matti Leshem will produce the film under their Weimaraner Republic Pictures banner.

Cast: Ansel Elgort (John F. Kennedy)
Produced by: Basil Iwanyk (Thunder Road Pictures), Beau Flynn (Flynn Picture Co.), Ansel Elgort

Decades before he would be elected President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, an illness-prone young Harvard graduate, enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II to prove to his father that he could live up to the illustrious Kennedy name.

On his first active-duty mission, captaining American PT Boat 109 in the South Pacific, Kennedy's boat was rammed and sliced in half by a Japanese destroyer, plunging the 25-year-old into a desperate struggle to escort his crew to safety, and survive.

Evan Kilgore and Samuel Franco penned the feature screenplay, Mayday 109, after extensive research on this astounding and largely-unknown true survival story, in essence the "origin" of the man the world knows as JFK.

The project lit up the Hollywood spec market in the summer of 2015 before it was competitively acquired by producer Basil Iwanyk's Thunder Road Pictures and Beau Flynn's FlynnPictureCo. It is currently in the early stages of pre-production.

FROM THE CRITICS:

"[A] story that readers will literally not be able to put down...the adrenaline-fueled pacing and ominous tone...will have readers predicting some kind of psychological suspense or crime fiction thriller...but then [the] allusions to illegal medical experiments on humans, mass killings, an abandoned nuclear missile silo in the jungles of Africa and unlocking the very secrets of immortality itself give the story a decidedly science fiction feel à la Crichton's "The Andromeda Strain." Dread-inspiring imagery from Sam's mysterious childhood—specifically a looming dark tower—gives the whole work an undertone of apocalyptic horror...This novel [has] a uniqueness that will keep readers guessing until literally the very last pages."
   - The Chicago Tribune

"The speed and chaos...[and] smash-mouthed ferocity of a Bruce Willis epic...[with] a crash-bang finale...Every road taken is the scariest. Kilgore...has a...career ahead of him writing action films. Nuke the popcorn."
   - Kirkus Reviews

"Kilgore writes with a maturity that should put his age at about 85, trust me, he's nowhere near that age...[T]his is a one sitting book. It will put hooks into you and not let go till you finish."
   - Crimespree Magazine

"The promise [Kilgore] showed in his first book has come to shine...[U]nique as Who is Shaya Hacker...[with] a nice rapid rhythm that careens from beginning to end."
   - Barb Radmore, Front Street Reviews

"Shocking and haunting."
   - Internet Book Database

"Definitely different and...well done."

FROM THE CRITICS:

"Twin Peaks meets The Da Vinci Code in this surpassingly weird debut."
   - Kirkus Reviews

"Evan Kilgore’s debut novel is an amazing piece of work. From the fist few lines it feels like something a little different, something special. Kilgore has a wonderful ability to draw in the reader...The characters are people that you are instantly interested in and care about, and the way they keep circling each other is pure genius, like a avant-garde ballet choreographed by a genius madman. The descriptions in the book took me to the place the characters went and are still in my head. This book is going to stay with me for some time to come."
   - Crimespree Magazine

"This is one of those novels that is better than its summaries make it sound. Kilgore is a persuasive writer with a stark, stripped-down style: we believe the story because he sells it to us. Balancing always on the edge of surrealism, the novel is a kind of existential thriller, an exploration of what makes a person whole, posing as a story about a bunch of people looking for a mysterious woman. Intriguing stuff."
   - Booklist

"After the first couple pages the hook has been set, the other books get set aside. The fascinating plot premise evolves as 5 different people, in different parts of the country, for different reasons, become obsessed with a girl they have never met...[I was] up late into the night, not able to put the book down...As a mix of mystery, thriller, sci fi and adventure, Evan Kilgore seems to be creating a new genre...Kilgore is able to elevate the mundane thriller into a work of thoughtful activity that forces the reader to examine it form all directions. The writing maintains the pace of the story without letting the suspense fade throughout."
   - Barb Radmore, Front Street Reviews

"A strange journey in a book I personally found fascinating...
Unusual and very enjoyable...Thanks for a great read."
